Fees & Insurance
My fees are based on the usual rate charged by clinicians with a similar level of training and experience. If you think you cannot afford therapy, please discuss your situation with me. In some cases, I’m able to provide a sliding scale. Should you need a fee that is significantly out of range of my sliding scale, I will provide you with a referral to a local clinician who offers lower-fee services.
About Insurance
I have made a deliberate choice to remain out of network with insurance companies. This allows us to make treatment decisions together based on what is best for you — not on insurance requirements or limitations.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
I also reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for clients who have limited financial support, belong to marginalized communities, are students, or do not have out-of-network coverage.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.
Under federal law, health care providers must give patients who are uninsured or not using insurance an estimate of charges for medical and mental health services, including psychotherapy.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time before scheduling a service. If your actual bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Be sure to save a copy or screenshot of your estimate.
